The Wombles of the Heath meet on the first Saturday of the month at 10am at Jubilee Gardens (opposite Sainsbury’s) for a one hour litter pick.
The Wombles provide the litter pickers and bags to collect rubbish – you can work individually or as part of a group to target specific areas of the village.
Please email us at flackwellheathlitter@gmail.com if you would like to join in – there is no monthly commitment, but we can keep you up to date on group activity and ensure we have the right equipment on a monthly basis. Attendance is free and open to all residents. It is a great opportunity to meet others within our community!
The Wombles also arrange the Village Litter Picks which are run twice a year to involve as many people as possible from the community to cover the whole village. You can find out more information about the village litter pick here.
Please bring your own gloves to litter picks if you need them. Litter pickers avoid the need to touch the litter so gloves should not be required.
